Edit your post!

I love WordPress, the underlying software that runs Gibberish. It’s fantastic, the admin/posting interface is well done and needs to be experienced to truly appreciate.

One of the things I don’t like about it, however, is that users can’t edit their comments. If someone puts up a comment and then realizes they made a spelling error, or wants to add in just one more jab about me looking like a Tauren (cough), then you’d have to reply to your own comment, which is sort of lame.

Hail the conquering hero: Edit Comments, a WordPress plugin provided by Andrew Sutherland. The plugin allows you to edit your posts up to 30 minutes after the original posting. You don’t have to be a registered Gibberish user to edit your comment; the application tracks you by IP. Hrm, I wonder what this will do to Lady Jaye’s edit window if we’re both on Gibberish at the same time. I guess I can just hand-edit her entries 😉

Anyway, give this a try at home, please. Make a comment and then edit it. Here’s an example of what it looks like:
