Music You Need to Own: Drink the Sea by Glitch Mob

“Music You Need to Own” is a new segment, and centers around music I think most people would like, but may not have heard of before or were afraid to purchase without listening to it first.

Today’s album is “Drink the Sea” by Glitch Mob. Glitch Mob was a collection of electronica artists and composers. This 10-track album is simply beautiful from top to bottom. You may have already heard some of their music without knowing it. The music from Drink the Sea has been featured on many commercials, movies, and television programs including Top Gear, America’s Got Talent, and the remixed Tron: Legacy soundtrack.

The biggest reason I’m giving this away is that I can spread around my bittersweet love affair with the Glitch Mob. The group split after one album, several mixtapes and a clutch of remixes. Drink the Sea is a great album, but it will also be the Glitch Mob’s greatest album. No more. Super sadface.

Anyway, here are the rules: make a comment on this post and/or like this post on Facebook and you’ll be entered for a chance to win this album via Amazon MP3’s cloud MP3 service or via iTunes depending on your preference.

I’ll announce the winner on my Facebook page on Friday, February 24th.

Good luck, and give the album a listen!

Fair enough, but Drink the Sea is a three track EP. Kraddy left right before Drink the Sea dropped, and I figured the group that influenced the first album was no more.

Here’s to hoping I am wrong 🙂 thanks for the post!
