Never underestimate the power of the force

Suction force, that is. The hungry, all-powerful, all-consuming (mostly) suction of my Dyson DC07 Animal vacuum cleaner. I run the sweeper upstairs and down once a week, and was always impressed with the amount of dog and people hair it sucked up, along with the sloughed skin, eyelashes, bug droppings, whatever that one sucks up with the vacuum.

When we got Rosie, I knew that we were in for double shed duty. So I thought you all might be interested in seeing what the Dyson captures after one week of normal wear and tear on the carpets.

Ah, yes. Here we are. I don’t know why everything turns out gray in the vac. I ascribe to the Crayola theory, where if you color multiple crayons on top of each other the result is a black mess. Except this is gray. And not crayons.

I took a few snaps of the carnage, with a AA battery for reference:

Rosie says, “I MADE THIS!!”

I like that I managed to suck up a 2″ square piece of paper without noticing. Seriously, where does all that crap come from?
