New York: Day Two

Lady Jaye and I spent most of the day assisting her cousin and aunt get ready for the wedding, but the most exciting and important part of the day can be summed up in two words:

Lady Jaye’s little brother Big Pappy got slammed in the jewels by an errant soccer ball during his game today.

Despite a reproduction-threatening injury, Big Pappy got an assist and executed a fantastic sliding tackle. Big Pappy and the rest of the starters did so well they got benched to let the second and third stringers take a turn at the opposition.

Awesome, that picture made me do an evil chuckle and grin. Well do I remember the soccer nut shots of my youth…
