P90 Home Fitness Program: Doldrums

It’s been almost a month since I last wrote about P90. The holidays, a looming layoff, and just general apathy crushed almost all of my desire to get in front of the television and mimic Tony Horton.

I just finished session 78, which means I grunted through twelve sessions in almost thirty days. I should have done twice that many, and would be almost done with the entire Basic program had I stuck to the schedule. Instead I played on the computer, did some chores, and read a little. I also caught up on some television sans the Beach Body workout crew. It felt nice to relax, but I felt guilty at the same time.

I’m not sure if I can steel myself to crank out the remaining twelve sessions on schedule. I have to go through a fairly extensive brow-beating to get motivated enough to work out. On the other hand, seems like a waste to get this far and then stop. So we’ll see.

Not a while lot of change, although my chest has gone up and my waist has gone down a little. My weight has dropped two pounds, which can be attributed to all sorts of things. Given my measurements, I will attribute that to a better diet. I’d probably break 180 if I were more dedicated to my workout.

So, keep your fingers crossed for me. Hopefully I will be done by the middle of February and will have moved on to something else. I still like all of the power yoga parts of the P90 workouts, and I may see what else they have. I have also enjoyed the ab routines, and a strong core is essential for motorcycling.

    I think you need to work on the manual dexterity of your fingers. Opening small foil wrappers filled with things like playing cards seems to be the perfect way to get this type of workout going. I can spot you later.

    Hey, I have been watching you make progress through the past couple of months and I’m ready to take over. When you are done, I will buy P90 from you :) I have been slowly getting out of shape and in the past 4 months it got to the point where I actually FEEL weak. Sitting on my ass all day long doesn’t help either…. So let me know when you are ready to part ways with your favorite Tony Horton :)
