Pegasus wanted!

Help me help a friend. An online buddy of mine is looking for the Micro Machines Titanium Series Pegasus, from the television series Battlestar Galactica. Apparently, the second-fiddle Battlestar has been hard to find ever since its release a month ago. You can find them on eBay for an insane markup ($20+ shipping for a $6 item). My online friend would rather not give the devil their due, so to speak.

If you happen to be at a Toys R Us, Target, Wal*Mart, or similar and can stroll by the toy aisle, please see if they have any Pegasus in stock. If so, please pick two up — one for my friend, and one for me. You know I’m good for it. A picture of the product packaging is after the jump.

I checked WalMart, Target and Toys R Us in Kingston….not a one to be found. Toys R Us told me to go to Hasbro online….sorry!

    Hey Doc,

I forgot to tell you yesterday, when I was between appointments I stopped at Hobby Works at Federal Plaza in RKV. I asked one of the guys there, Tom, if they had it cuz they have Star Wars stuff and other things. He hadn’t heard of it, but he’s a big BattleStar Galactica fan. He’d like the info on it to see if they can find it and if they can get it. He gave me his email address to send him the info. So the question is do you want to send it or do you want me to? And if you want me to send it – what parts of the write up do you want me to snag? Or can I just send him to your write up? If you want to write him, I’ll email you his work email address. The point is he’s interested cuz he might want one too — self interest is a good motivator. 🙂

Well, it’s a bit of a weird situation. Hasbro owns the MicroMachine brand, but they aren’t really making anything other than these Titanium series toys. I don’t know if it’s even being branded with the MicroMachines name … here’s Hasbro’s product page:

    Titanium series Pegasus.

If you’d like to email him a link to this post it might be all the help he needs.

One for a friend eh, just admit the truth that you are building a little miniature fleet of your own to unleash upon an unsuspecting man kind!

    Hey Doc,
Sent the link info to Tom at Hobby Works last night. We’ll wait and see what magic they can work at getting some in the store. Keep ya posted.
