So excited to see a TV news report on our local channel in the San Jose, CA area...the word is spreading!
There are multiple class action suits in the courts now. Can only hope that this horrible product is removed before all the litigation and red tape.
The president of the company still insists that SentryPro is safe and that it is the consumer who is at fault! How many more deaths than the 2000 reported will it take?
Power to the people!

Hi we used this product last night on our Yorkie LEVI . Went to bed my husband woke up to the saddest crying you ever heard . He ran in the livingroom to find Levi foaming from his mouth running in circles and crying he couldn't stop scratching . He grabbed him up and took him to the tub . He washed him for a long time .We were so scared that we just stayed up all night just watching him . He seems alot better tonight . Still not the same . I wish that I would have read this sight before we used this crap . This should be taken off the shelf it is hurting our babies ...

Glad to hear that Johnnie!

My dog Mojo made a total recovery too, but it took 4 days. I took him to the vet on Monday and my vet gave me a lecture on not using anything but frontline. He said Sergeants is well known for having toxic products and doesn't understand why they are still allowed to sell. Also said if the dog has a tick, just use flea spray in it and the tick will die.

Just got the "Get Well" card from Sentry-Sergeants along with their "incident report". I wonder what their magic number is ....how many dogs have to suffer before they will stop selling poison.

post 682 update:

After soaking Lacy with canola oil and wrapping her in a blanket she slept relaxed in mom and my arms for over 3 hours. I gave her a Dawn bath again after three hours and added pentane hair conditioner.
This event is after a 24 hour period since treatment. A special thank you to all contributors to this subject. Lacy's results are excellent! Lacy is back playing ball wagging her tail, barking to play etc. I think the key is leave the canola oil on for an extended period to kill the itch. I am sure its harder with the bigger breeds but hopefully it helps. To all of us, our pets are precious and hold a special place in our hearts! Hope this heps if you get caught in this or other alergic issues.

Well what else can I say. My 7 lb. yorkie/po has had the same reactions after 2 hours. Gave her a bath but she kept on scratching every few seconds. Again bathed her after 6 more hours with pantene/ dawn and smeared conditioner on her. I left it on her for 10 minutes. It helped some with the scratching. Lacy is a very active 2 year old that is now hiding under our chair or in her crate. After reading alot of these comments I coated her heavy in canola oil and wrapped her in a towel. Mom holding her and she is sleeping like a baby. After a couple of hours plan is to bathe with dawn. She is much more relaxed.

Add another victim. I knew something was wrong and so did my dog. He was smart enought to rub alot of it off (on the carpet mostly so we need to have that steam cleaned to be sure he isn't re-infected). He also managed to get some on me during the night and I ended up with chemical poisoning symptoms. I found this blog, called the Medical line, the Complaint line and PetCo. PetCo manager already called back twice and seems very concerned.

I am not concerned with a refund; I want the product off the shelves. Luckily, I had already given my dog Benadryl becasue I thought he was having an allergic reaction to the tick or fleas. I also gave him charcoal capsules and Vitamin E after the Dawn baths.

He is resting now (wish I could) but still whining/cring and doing the head shaking thing when he is up. This blog is almost 3 years old and NOTHING has been done to stop more dogs from getting sick. I am now concerned about the long term damage possibilites. PetCo & Sergeants could have prevented this years ago.

My adopted from the shelter dog got Sentry Pro yesterday and is a maniac , running around like a banshee, scratching himself until its red and the fur has gone. Had I read about Sentry prior to buying it yesterday at Petsmart I NEVER would have done this to my poor Tucker. I am taking it back to the store and I am going to demand a refund. After a bath and a Benydril , he is sleeping next to me but I hate what I did to him by using this crap on him.
