She likes to moove it, moove it

My friend Fishsprout completed the Palo Alto Running of the Bulls race last weekend. You can read more about it here, but the premise is so charming that even I may have been coerced into running. Two and a half minutes after the contestants start, people dressed up in bull and cow costumes are “released” at regular intervals. The bovines attempt to pass as many human runners as possible. Contestants are awarded a set number of raffle tickets for completing the race. Contestants lose a ticket for every would-be burger that passes them.

Congratulations to Fishsprout for not only finishing ahead of all but two cattle, but also for completing more runs and triathlons this year than most people do in a lifetime.

The sad part was that there ended up not being a raffle. Or I left too early. But they made it all up by serving free rootbeer floats, hobee’s coffee cake, strong coffee, and whole food’s fruit and bagels!

Turns out I was beat by 2 bulls and 2 cows. Dang they are fast! 🙂
