Support a United States Theatrical Release for Iron Sky

I’ve been following the movie Iron Sky for awhile. It’s right up my alley: space Nazis return to earth and it’s on like Donkey Kong.

Iron Sky had a limited theatrical release in Europe earlier this month. While there are plans to show the film in the United States, there are no firm release dates. This obviously sucks, and anyone who has an even slight love of the space Nazi film genre needs to do what they can to bring this movie state-side.

The official Iron Sky site has an online petition to bring Iron Sky to the United States. As of this writing, the petition has just over 56,000 requests. Surely there are more of us out there who want to see this movie.

Helping out is simple:

  1. Go to the They Demand Iron Sky! page. Make sure you’ve clicked on the “Support” tab.
  2. Enter your email address, country, ZIP Code, and check the privacy statement box.
  3. Click the Request button.
  4. You’ll get an email — make sure you click the confirmation link, otherwise your vote doesn’t count.
  5. That’s it!

Please help bring a quirky movie to the US. My biggest fear is that Iron Sky will only get a limited US theatrical release, and then we’ll have to wait even longer for it to come out on Blu-Ray.

Oh, and if this is the first time you’re hearing of Iron Sky, check out the first official trailer:

What… space nazis, when the hell did that become a genre and how did I miss the memo!

That little red dot in SE Alberta? Yeah, that’s me! Glad to see that Calgary and Edmonton seem to be generating a lot of interest!
